Anti-graffiti projects

The most effective way to prevent graffiti nuisance in public spaces is to have an 'anti-graffiti' painting applied. Our many years of experience shows that a well-thought-out and beautifully produced graffiti wall painting is the anti-graffiti solution and our approach ensures that unwanted graffiti stays away. Compared to having an anti-graffiti coating applied and maintained, having a professional anti-graffiti wall painting made once is also financially a lot cheaper.

Have unwanted graffiti removed?

We can remove unwanted graffiti for you, but that is usually not a permanent solution. The graffiti will most likely be applied to your location because this place has 'something' that is attractive to graffiti painters, this is usually a high 'visibility value'. Because we started out on the street ourselves, we know better than anyone what the appeal of an object can be. We are happy to think along with you about a permanent solution for the graffiti nuisance at your location.

Art as a solution for graffiti nuisance

Our art projects are often used as part of a municipal or regional anti-graffiti policy. The locations are usually overpasses, tunnels, electricity houses, garages, building fences and other public objects. As an anti-graffiti solution, having a well-thought-out wall painting made in such places is a cheaper alternative than having paint repainted or removing unwanted graffiti on a regular basis. Certainly because it appears that empty walls are often repainted after a while and this approach is therefore not a permanent solution for the graffiti problem.

How do anti-graffiti paintings work?

In the graffiti and street-art world it is true that people do not in principle go over other people's work and a work of art made through graffiti therefore often remains unaffected. It is true that an anti-graffiti painting only works if it is realized professionally and by the right artists, known and respected in the graffiti world.

Neighborhood and neighborhood participation

Our anti-graffiti projects are always specifically tailored to the location or object. If possible, we involve local residents, schools and young people in an anti-graffiti project. This by, for example, launching a website where you can submit ideas, input or designs and possibly vote for the designs we have made. We often incorporate characteristic elements from the environment into the design so that a certain recognizability and identification is created between the artwork and the neighborhood.

Sometimes it is also possible that local residents and young people from the area help to make the painting through a workshop. If this is desired, we will reserve a number of places for this in the design, which we will of course update a little after the workshop so that the result remains qualitative. Neighborhood participation around an anti-graffiti project has a positive influence on the quality of life. Certainly if there is broad support from the neighborhood for the artwork, this ensures that the unwanted graffiti 'tags' often remain away after the realization of a joint art project. In our view, a joint approach is the best anti-graffiti solution.
